Hello | I'm Sebastian and I specialise in contemporary art and communications. My ambition is to create and use creative content to inspire positive change in our communities; be it to drive discussion around mental health or help reduce environmental pollution.
Contemporary art | I’ve been working as a visual artist since I graduated from high school, and continue to make art as often as I can - lots of which you can find on this website. I specialise in mixed media, including painting, illustrations, photography, collage and writing. Much of my work is inspired by nature and rooted by my upbringing in the countryside. Today, I live and work in London.
Some of my larger creative projects have included publishing an illustrated children’s book, Yellow Bird, producing a play, Lakavu, launching Art360 app to make archiving skills available to contemporary artists, and hosting a mini podcast series, Fruity. In January 2020, I founded Land Art Coalition to engage people with environmental issues and help protect our planet.
My exhibition experience includes shows with Pride In London, Chopperchunky Gallery, Arts & Crusts, Departure/Husk, Studio73, The Accidental Festival (Roundhouse), Milk & Two Pop-up Gallery, Café Eterno, Artspace K2 (Remagen, Germany), The Other Art Fair, and the Accessible Art Fair (Brussels).
Communications | In my day job, I direct and manage large-scale communications projects and creative campaigns for the University of the Arts London. I develop multi-media content for students, staff and the public, organise events, such as talks and debates, produce digital content for web and social, ranging from editorial to graphics and video, and develop creative print assets, ranging from event materials to posters, banners, books and more.
I studied media in London and politics in Brussels, and have spent the last decade working for a range of different corporate, creative, public and non-governmental institutions: Afiniti Ltd, AIDES France, Allied Irish Banks, Art360 Foundation, Aspect Consulting, BP, Bridgeman, CEEREAL, Channel 4, Consumer Choices, Google, DACS (Design and Artists Copyright Society), DSM, EWEA (European Wind Energy Association), EuropaBio, FoodDrinkEurope, Intel, Kellogg’s, Marsh UK, Maersk Oil, Mobile Challengers Group, Medela, Network Rail, Nice Agency, Royal Mail, Talisman, Total, University of the Arts London (UAL), Vesuvius.
